What exactly are Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs you ask?
As their name suggests they are of Pennsylvania Dutch origin. The designs are based on the artistic style used by the Pennsylvania Dutch who originally decorated their homes with the familiar star like patterns. Over time the Pennsylvania Dutch began decorating their barns with the designs which evolved into the hex signs we know and love today. The hex signs are created for indoor or outdoor use. Each hex sign has its own special meaning like "good luck", "love" and more.
Please Note: Our hex signs are a Masonite material and the design is applied using silk screen type process.
The manufacturer states they are suitable for outdoor use.
For extra protection you can paint the back and edge with an outdoor paint or polyurethane.
The front should be left untreated.
